Three girls died after drowning in the Kosi river near the Manawar bridge in Mahisi block area of ​​Saharsa. The bodies of the three girls were recovered late on Wednesday night. As soon as the bodies were found, a wave of grief ran among the family members. The people gathered around due to the screams and cries of the family members. Silence spread in the village after the bodies of three girls of the same village were found.

Local people told that the three girls had left the house late in the evening and did not return till late night. After which during the search, the bodies were recovered from the Kosi river. As soon as the information was received, a team of administrative officials reached the spot and started further action. Zonal Officer Anil Kumar said that Anchal Kumari, 11-year-old daughter of Saguni Mukhiya, resident of Manawar, Saraswati Kumari, 10-year-old daughter of Shravan Mukhiya and Radha Kumari, 8-year-old daughter of Ganesh Thakur had gone to pluck greens. During this time, they drowned in the Kosi river.

Do not allow children to go near the river

Here, as soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started investigation. The police was sending the three bodies to the hospital for postmortem but the family refused to do so. After this, the public representative explained to the family of the dead girls that the postmortem of the bodies will be done. Whatever government help is available will be given to the family. The police has appealed to the people that the water level of the rivers has increased due to continuous rain in Nepal. Therefore, avoid bathing in the river or going to the banks. Do not let children go near the river.
